About Sapna

Sapna Shah is a British Wheel of Yoga diploma course holder who holds group classes in Harrow and Ruislip, Middlesex. Sapna is also available to give private tuition on a one-to-one basis.

Sapna teaches hatha yoga with an emphasis on using the breath to create openness within the body. She believes very much in the concept of working to your own level and progressing to the more advanced postures and breath work on a gradual basis. Sapna believes that yoga can truly improve the ‘whole’ life on a mental, physical and spiritual level.

Sapna came to yoga a few years ago after having suffered from neck and shoulder pain as the result of her being in a car accident. Today, Sapna’s pain is virtually non-existent; what she says however, is that it’s not so much the fact that the pain is gone but, more so that she is better able to handle any pain which may come – physical or emotional – and this she attributes to the entire philosophy of yoga.

Sapna takes inspiration from her yoga tutors Monica Burton and Chris Harrison who each bring their individual style of yoga to their roles as tutors as well as teachers in their own classes.

In addition, Sapna holds a degree in law and is qualified as a barrister and solicitor and has been running a law practice for many years.

"Hatha is the sanctuary for those suffering every type of pain. It is the foundation for those practising every type of yoga."
